Communication Resources

SLA’s Communications Center contains a variety of practical tools to assist leaders with public relations and communications messaging both inside and outside the workplace.

Clear and consistent communication is the key to a successful, thriving organization. Leaders are responsible for communicating their communities’ mission, activities, and achievements to their members as well as work with SLA to further the public relations of the Association.

Today, there are many vehicles for communicating: discussion lists, blogs, social media, and websites to name a few. Which medium fits the message? How do we balance “getting the message out” without creating an information overload? Even though we are in an instant information age, delivering your message so that it has the desired impact on the intended audience takes careful planning.
