Is Your Integrated Library System Truly Integrated?

Does your integrated library system (ILS) help you manage tasks such as cataloging, circulation, acquisition, paying bills, and monitoring access? Of course it does—but it should do much more.

That’s the premise of SLA’s next Partner Talk by Lucidea, “Transformative and Integrated Request Management: Can Your ILS Deliver?” The hour-long webinar will begin at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, February 26, and is open to both SLA members and non-members.

“The perfect ILS offers flexibility and customization options required to fulfill (and exceed) end user expectations, enable innovation, and simplify integration with your existing systems and workflow,” say the webinar presenters, Phil Wensley and Jeremiah Saunders. “During this webinar, we’ll take you through use cases with practical advice on the important and powerful ways that reference and research request tracking enable you to—

  • Fully leverage your organization’s investment in all types of content, no matter the source;
  • Educate senior management and prove that library and knowledge management services, expertise, and products are valuable; and
  • Deliver full access to information assets (including expertise) efficiently and effectively.”

Partner Talks allow SLA industry partners to position their organization as an authority in the world of information professionals by delivering in-depth, up-to-date presentations on topics that benefit the information profession at large. Partner Talks help these organizations build loyalty and trust by providing substantive data, resources, and knowledge to SLA members.
