Intel-12. Scenario Analysis & Futures Techniques

Member Price: $495 Non-Member Price: $715

How can I anticipate and understand scenarios, events, and developments that can impact my organization or industry sector?

Gaining foresight and anticipating future conditions, trends, and actions are fundamental to generating sound management and robust and competitive intelligence. While there is no crystal ball that can predict the future, commercial intelligence employs a range of tools and techniques that help us develop likely scenarios that can impact our organization’s competitiveness. Through these scenarios, we can anticipate conditions and events and guide our decisions, strategies, and actions. This online course presents common futures models and techniques that are used to support strategic development. Participants will learn how to choose and apply the appropriate techniques, how to develop scenarios, and how to combine futures techniques with other, complementary intelligence models.

Prerequisite: Participants enrolled for the “Core” and Dual Competitive Intelligence  Certificates are recommended (but not required) to have prior experience in business and industry analysis or complete online course, Competitive Intelligence Analysis: Fundamental Frameworks (INTEL-08) AND either Competitive Intelligence Analysis: Intermediate Frameworks (INTEL-09) OR Issue Analysis (INTEL-11b)
