Advocacy Toolkit

Advocacy Toolkit: Introduction

It’s no secret that the last few years have been a precarious time for librarians and information professionals. It has become more important than ever for members to take proactive measures to demonstrate their value to the stakeholders in their organizations.  The 2015 Advocacy Task Force has developed practical tools to help members do just that.

Information has been distilled from a variety of sources, and these materials contain links to additional resources for members who want to explore the topics in more depth.

Invest a few minutes each week in your own sustainability and experiment with some of these curated strategies. You are critical to your organization’s success, and through these strategies you will be better able to illustrate how essential information professionals are to people outside the profession.
