Web Chats

Listen, Engage, and Learn!

Join 2018 SLA President Roberto Sarmiento as he talks with fellow SLA members this year. He’ll conduct four web chats, each with a different guest and topic. The chats, which are open to SLA members, will begin with a 10-minute update on what’s happening in SLA, then follow with a 25-minute conversation between Roberto and his guest. The chat will conclude with a 15-minute question-and-answer session.

With these conversations, Roberto wants to—

  • provide an interactive, focused approach to topics of interest or importance to SLA members through an SLA-specific “lens”;
  • jump-start conversations among SLA members on SLA Connect or at chapter and division events; and
  • create an opportunity for a fun, spirited conversation between friends that will benefit our community.
