SLA Europe Expanding Presence at Library Events

SimonBarron

We at SLA Europe are focusing on expanding our presence at conferences and events around Europe and overseas. With the appointment of a new conferences coordinator to our board of directors, we’re aiming at exhibiting at more library and information events and expanding our membership through advocacy for SLA.

Later this month, we’ll be exhibiting at London Info International 2014. We’ll be appearing alongside 70 other international exhibitors that produce databases, e-books and online journals in every major academic, scientific and professional field. London Info International will be held November 24-25 at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Victoria, London. The event is free for those who register in advance.

Last month, we exhibited at Internet Librarian International 2014 in London to attract new members to SLA. We held a drawing for a book edited by one our SLA Europe members.

We hope to see many more information professionals at future conferences (including the SLA 2015 Annual Conference in Boston) as we continue to spread the message of the many benefits of membership in SLA.
