SLA Fellow Laura “Lolly” Gasaway Named to CCC Board

Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a not-for-profit organization that is the world’s leading provider of copyright licensing solutions, has announced the election of Laura N. Gasaway and Tarja Koskinen-Olsson to its Board of Directors. Gasaway is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law, previously serving 22 years as Director of the Law Library at UNC. She is past president of the American Association of Law Libraries, a Fellow of the Special Libraries Association and has served on and chaired various committees of both associations, including their Copyright Committees.  From 1987-95, Gasaway served on the American Bar Association’s Accreditation Committee and from 1997-2002 the Council on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.  Additionally, she wrote the Copyright Corner column for SLA’s Information Outlook for more than six years and currently writes a copyright column for Against the Grain.
