SLA to Honor Chemistry Librarian for Teaching, Mentoring

Awards and Honors

Judith Currano, head of the Chemistry Library at the University of Pennsylvania, will receive the Rose L. Vormelker Award from SLA in recognition of her outstanding dedication to teaching and mentoring students and working professionals.

SLA bestows the Vormelker Award each year upon one or more members in good standing who have actively worked to advance the development of their fellow librarians and students.

Judith will not have to travel far for the awards ceremony—it will be held June 12 during the opening session of SLA’s 2016 Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which is less than 20 minutes away from the Penn campus.
