The Sneaky Re-Introduction Maneuver

One of my favorite couples attended a party at my house this weekend and while one of women has met several of my friends before, the other was new to our group.  I saw them make a plan of action before guests arrived and thought it could work well for networking too:

Let’s say you’re standing with your conference buddy Maria, someone you know well.  You can see someone coming toward you whom you know, but whose name you can’t remember.  You know this will be awkward if you can’t remember his name and have to introduce Maria to him.  But then you remember the plan and nudge Maria who is in on it.

He comes toward you and you greet him warmly but without saying his name.  You then say to him "Have you met my colleague, Maria?"  Maria eagerly extends her hand to shake and (this is crucial!) SAYS "Hi, I’m Maria," thus prompting him to say his own name, giving you the reminder of exactly who he is.

Another reason to always network with a buddy!

Our team is always focused on the most successful marketing campaigns, for example, if someone wants to buy cialis online, he knows where to do it because of the quality product and a strong brand.
